Acting Chief Executive Officer
Louisa (NDA, CA) joined Delta in March 2023 as CFO and was appointed Acting CEO in September 2024. She has a wide variety of experience as a senior finance executive, business advisor, strategic partner and qualified Chartered Accountant. She has previously worked in senior management roles at Aurora Energy and Otago Polytechnic (Tē Pukenga). Prior to this, Louisa was an Associate Director at Deloitte Dunedin. Louisa has a focus on continuous improvement, performance excellence and business transformation. She also has governance experience and is on the Board of the Otago Medical Research Foundation, an organisation that provides funding for medical research in Otago.
Executive Assistant
Jolene joined Delta in June 2020 as Executive Assistant to the CEO. Jolene is responsible for executive, administrative and management support to the CEO and Board of Directors. Jolene has previously worked in a variety of administrative and management support roles for organisations within the infrastructure and healthcare sectors.
Acting Chief Financial Officer
Tania (BCom, CA) joined Delta in January 2022 as a Management Accountant and was appointed Acting CFO in September 2024. She brings extensive experience to Delta, having held senior positions in the Electrical Contracting, Manufacturing, Health, and AgResearch industries. Prior to that, Tania started her career as an Auditor. Tania has a focus on providing systems and support to enable managers to succeed, as well as identifying opportunities and strategies for improvement.
General Manager Power and Communication Services
Michael (MBA, NZCE Electrical, REA, MInstD) joined Delta in March 2017. He is responsible for the delivery of contracting services to our electrical and communication customers. Michael has nearly 40 years of operational experience, predominantly within the electricity distribution sector, but also across other industries. He has held senior management roles at PowerNet, United Networks, NZ Post and most recently the Earthquake Commission (EQC).
General Manager
Greenspace Services
Richard (BAppMgt, Nat. Cert. Sports Turf Mgt) joined Delta in 2001 and was appointed General Manager Greenspace Services in 2015. He is responsible for Delta’s delivery of greenspace services, including sports turf management, ecological and horticultural services, roadside vegetation control, tree services, and park and reserve maintenance, for local government and private sector customers. Richard has over 35 years’ experience in greenspace services, primarily in the amenity horticulture and sport turf industries. He leads a highly skilled team of over 240 people during peak seasons, across ten locations throughout the South Island.
General Manager Metering and Field Operations
Josh (MBA MCPM BA) joined Delta in December 2021. He is responsible for the delivery of our metering and field service operations at Delta. His business unit spans across all New Zealand networks and provides services to a wide range of electricity retailers and meter owners. Originally from the United States, Josh started his career with Sprint Corporation and, since arriving in New Zealand in 2005, has gained extensive experience in the telecommunication and electricity sectors. He has held management positions with Telecom, Mercury NZ, Vector, Prysmian NZ, The Lines Company, and Influx Energy Data.
HSEQ Manager
Matt (PGDipHlth, Grad NZISM) joined Delta in July 2014. He is responsible for the health and safety operation of our business. Matt has a wide range of experience and has been a health and safety specialist for over 10 years. Previously, Matt held production and safety roles at Silver Fern Farms, as well as a variety of roles outside the industry. Matt is an active member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management and the Electricity Distribution Institute Safety forum.
ICT Operations and Change Manager
Jude (BAgEcon, Prince2) joined Delta in January 2019 as the Change Manager, moving into her current role in October 2023. Jude is responsible for all ICT operations, change management and process improvements across the company’s systems and operations, which support innovation and foster efficiency. Jude has over 35 years of experience in the ICT sector in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom, working in a variety of operational and management roles across many industries, including Finance, Transportation and Education.
Commercial Manager
Shane (NZCQS, PMP, NZC Const. Man. L5) joined Delta in December 2012 as the Technical Services Manager. In 2016 Shane moved into the Commercial Manager role with responsibilities in the risk and quality assurance portfolios, as well as leading the newly created Major Project Group. Shane started in the high voltage Transmission and Generation industry. He has held a number of senior roles, including Regional Manager for the then, Transfield Services, and Senior Projects Manager for a large multinational company, where he was responsible for tendering and managing major infrastructure renewals and upgrades across New Zealand.
Business Accountant
Daryl (BCom, Dip Grad, CA) joined Delta’s predecessor Dunedin Electricity Ltd in July 1997. He is responsible for ensuring accurate and robust management accounting practises as well as effective and efficient business processes. Daryl has held a number of roles within the finance group at Delta, gaining a wide range of experience within the contracting and energy sectors, which began over 25 years ago at Taranaki Energy Ltd. He undertook his tertiary education part time, while also working full time at Delta and gained his Chartered Accountant qualification in 2007.
