Delta secures $40 million contract renewal in Tasman
Infrastructure specialist Delta has secured the renewal of its electricity and fibre optic communications network maintenance contract with Network Tasman for a further five years, looking after network maintenance, faults response and minor capital works.
Delta has provided maintenance services to Network Tasman since 1 April 2011, employing 54 staff based out of the main depot in Hope and regional depots in Nelson, Motueka, Murchison and Takaka. Under the contract, Delta also maintains and builds Network Tasman’s consumer fibre optic communications network in Tasman and Marlborough. The contract value is expected to total around $40 million over the next five years from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2021.
Network Tasman chief executive Wayne Mackey says Delta has consistently provided a high level of service to Tasman consumers. "We are pleased to renew the maintenance contract with Delta for further five years, confident in the dedication and skill that Delta brings to its service delivery and its commitment to customer satisfaction. Ours is a genuine partnership approach that sees a close integration between Network Tasman’s asset management team and Delta’s operational team, working together for the benefit of all stakeholders."
Delta chief executive Grady Cameron says "We are delighted be Network Tasman’s preferred service provider and to have this significant electricity and fibre services contract renewed. Our teams take pride in doing a quality job, safely and going the extra mile when circumstances require, such as the major storm responses of Easter 2014. We look forward delivering network maintenance services for Network Tasman and local electricity consumers for another five years," says Mr Cameron.
Delta also provides network maintenance services to Nelson Electricity network in Nelson and manages the Aurora Energy network in Dunedin and Central Otago.
