Delta establishes Flute joint venture (now Delta Fibre Network) to deploy fibre networks in Dunedin. Delta acquires Lakes Contract Services, a Queenstown utilities business. |

Dunedin Electricity sells its shareholding in Delta to Dunedin City Holdings, which fully owns both subsidiary companies. Delta acquires Roadex, an Alexandra contracting business. |

2001 |
City Works (Dunedin civil contracting business) merges with Delta. |

1998 |
Dunedin Electricity establishes Delta Utility Services Limited as a subsidiary company to be a specialist service provider to utility asset owners. |

1993 |
Dunedin Electricity quits electricity retailing by forming with Electricity Invercargill Ltd electricity retailer United Electricity and selling its retailing activities to it. |

Waipori Falls Hydroelectric is acquired by Dunedin City which commences electricity distribution and subsequently appliance retailing, operating as the Dunedin City Council Electricity and Gas Department. |
